Economic Internship Module

In the context of the MSE students are encouraged to undertake an internship at renowned companies, economic research facilities or other (inter)national institutions. Past MSE students did their internship for example at ZEW, DIW, IAB, UniCredit, Federal Ministry of Finance or German Federal Bank.

If the internship is related to economic, the internship module allows to gain 5 ECTS towards your degree from the internship. For further information on internship opportunities and the internship module please contact the responsible professor for the specialisation area of your interest.

Stipends

Internships at International Organizations (e.g., ILO, EBRD) can be supported with a stipend of the Staedler-Stiftung. See the previous application announcement. You can read the report of the current stipend awardee! She was at the ILO in Genf. A newsparer article on the internship is here.


Master thesis

A popular tool to facilitate the labor market entry is writing the master thesis with a business or research partners. Most of these cooperations start with an internship.


Career Services

The Career Service at our School of Business and Economics supports you in the job search giving you advice concerning job applications. They offer seminars on application and career entry, soft skill training, presentations by organizations, counseling interviews and job fairs.
